Trust

Trust-----
not to worry,
not to daydream,
not to constantly check the time
or my phone for text messages
not to make plans,
but enjoying wonderous serendipity.

Though long time no talk,
trusting that friendship will remain strong,
amid complicated feelings and awkward circumstances.
Believing in my own poem.
Trusting in God who will provide
when the time is right.
