Verses from proverbs that spoke to me this week

Because I do my devotions in Chinese, the Chinese verses are presented. The English equivalents follow.

说话浮躁的，如刀刺人；
智慧人的舌头，却为医人的良药。 －箴言12:18

Reckless words pierce like a sword,
but the tongue of the wise brings healing. -- Proverbs 12:18

不要劳碌求富， 休仗自己的聪明。
你岂要定睛在虚无的钱财上吗？
因钱财必长翅膀，如鹰向天飞去。 －箴言 23：4－5

Do not wear yourself out to get rich;
have the wisdom to show restraint.
Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone,
for they will surely sprout wings
