Don't take myself too seriously

One important realizations I had recently is that I've been taking myself too seriously. This was partly catalyzed by my recent musings about social entrepreneurship, about leaving the comfort of North America, and about loving the poor and needy--thoughts that are good of themselves, but I must realize that I'm not the savior of this world, and the earth will go around with or without my help. (Jesus is the savior of this world, and the most I can do is to point to Him.) Fooling myself into thinking otherwise is gradually making me become this empty, prideful, judgmental prick, which is the opposite of who I want to be. I must realize that I'm simply an average person who's doing whatever I want, and I should not moralize myself beyond that.
